Winter rainfall was nearly 30% lower than average. Two decent rain events occurred in Spring which was ideal timing for the development of healthy canopies. Warm and sunny conditions through flowering and fruit setestablished good bunch numbers, which was followed by cooler than average conditions in late spring and into summer. Veraison occurred in mid-late January, and conditions remained mostly dry and warm- perfect for ripening. No disease pressure from rain events and no heatwaves either meant fruit was in optimal condition at harvest. The resultant steady ripening of Sauvignon Blanc led to good flavour development and retention of natural acidity. Part of the "12Hr Wine Sale - 10pm-10am" sale on Grays.
