BREITLING GENEVE MANUAL 35MM STAINLESS STEEL REF 227 DIAL TBC WXO COA Brand: Breitling Model: Geneve dress watch Reference: TBC (check inside caseback) Year: Circa 1950s (approx., see flags) Movement: Manual-wind, Venus calibre 227 Functions: Hours, minutes, central seconds, date window Case: Stainless steel, approx. 34–35mm Crystal: Acrylic Dial: TBC Condition: Very Good (pre-owned) Inclusions: Watch only COA: Certificate of authenticity included Provenance: A mid-century Breitling from the era when the brand dressed as well as it timed. Steel Geneve-signed time-and-date pieces are far scarcer than the chronographs Breitling is famous for. Design: Clean, restrained dress proportions in a classic 1950s case, with a practical date window that was still a novelty in the period. Movement: Powered by the Venus 227, an 11.5-ligne manual-wind date calibre from Venus SA of Moutier, the same maker behind the Navitimer and Chronomat’s legendary chronograph movements. Condition: Very Good pre-owned condition, with honest wear consistent with age and careful ownership. Inclusions: Offered watch only, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity for added buyer confidence. (SN:227) Part of the "Luxury Watches and Cases" sale on Grays.
