Full Description

The 2021 Clare Valley vintage enjoyed cooler-than-average temperatures, providing ideal ripening conditions. The extended, mild season allowed the fruit to fully develop its flavours while maintaining elegance and purity. The vineyard’s sandy loam soils over alluvial clay and sedimentary rock provided excellent drainage and vital minerals during fruit growth. Shiraz grapes underwent a 10-day fermentation in stainless steel openfermenters, with daily pump-overs to intensify color and flavours. Following primary fermentation, the wine was transferred to seasoned French and American oak barrels for malolactic fermentation, then aged for 18 months in the barrels.
