A classic, pure expression of unoaked Burgundian Chardonnay crafted by Frédéric Prain.Grown on a stony Portlandian limestone hillside parcel directly adjacent to the Premier Cru Côte de Lechet vineyard, this cool-climate wine punches well above its classification by balancing intense maritime energy with the estate's signature late-harvest fruit ripeness. Colour: Brilliant straw yellow with a polished green hue. Aroma: A classic, mineral-driven bouquet bursting with crunchy Granny Smith apple, lime oil, grapefruit, and freshly cut grass, underlined by chalky dust and crushed oyster shell. Palate: Chiseled and energetic, featuring a delicate mouthfeel that layers tangy citrus rind and white stone fruit over a deep, leesy texture from extensive maturation on the lees. Structure: Driven by a dominant, mouthwatering line of crisp lemon acidity and a distinct, salty, flinty mineral character that extends into a dry, savoury, and refreshing finish.
