A legendary single-vineyard release crafted from centenarian, 100-year-old vines planted in 1912.It beautifully showcases the classic, cool-climate grace, complex herbal lift, and incredible longevity typical of Henschke's Eden Valley terroir. Colour: Deep crimson with rich garnet and blue-purple hues. Nose: Incredibly fragrant and complex, displaying ripe dark plum, crushed blackberry, and mulberry. It is layered with fresh sage, bay leaf, violets, star anise, black pepper, and subtle notes of smoked bacon and cedar. Palate: Medium-to-full-bodied, elegant, and beautifully focused. It delivers a rich wave of black fruit compote, licorice, and pastille supported by savory undertones of tobacco leaf, mocha, and fertile loam.
