26 H x 23 W cm (image); 33 H x 30 W cm (mat board). Unframed. Titled lower centre. Signed and dated (1951) lower right. William Merric Boyd was an Australian ceramicist, sculptor and draughtsman, recognised as a pioneer of Australian studio pottery. During the later years of his life he devoted himself almost exclusively to drawing. Provenance and authenticity verified via private family archives.
