A powerfully constructed, single-varietal red sourced from the producer's Evans and Sharefarmers vineyards in Coonawarra.Crafted during what was the warmest Coonawarra growing season on record, it spent 20 months maturing in new French oak barriques to deliver a deeply structured, age-worthy style. Colour: Bright crimson-mauve with an intense, deep core. Aroma: A highly perfumed and lifted nose revealing notes of sweet violets, mulberry, and blackcurrant. This is complexed by undertones of cedar wood, sweet spices, and a subtle marzipan finish. Palate: Medium to full-bodied with exceptional weight. It delivers a rich concentration of dark fruits, raspberry, and milk chocolate flavours. Finish: Long and highly refined, framed by fine-grained, tightly wound, and slightly savoury tannins that balance the oak integration. Part of the "5 Star Provenance Sale - Avid Wine Collector." sale on Grays.
