Item Includes: 1x Pyramid Valley North Canterbury Pinot Noir 2020, NZ 1x The Withers English Hill Pinot Noir 2016, California The Pyramid Valley North Canterbury Pinot Noir 2020 delivers a beautifully concentrated expression of a cool-climate landscape. The bouquet opens with an intense, brooding perfume of ripe plum and wild blue fruits, accented by savoury hints of brown spice, thyme, and lifted wildflowers. On the palate, this full-bodied New Zealand Pinot Noir possesses excellent textural weight and power. Generous dark fruit flavours are anchored by chalky, fine-grained tannins and a bright, salivating acidity derived from the region's rich clay and gravel soils. It concludes with a deeply complex, moreish finish that balances its opulent fruit with a distinctive earthy, savoury edge.In contrast, The Withers English Hill Pinot Noir 2016 offers a more classical, elegant structure that bridges the styles of the Sonoma Coast and Burgundy. The nose reveals a refined mix of wild strawberry, pomegranate, and red cherry, interwoven with complex layers of underbrush, dried Oolong tea, and baking spices. Grown less than ten miles from the Pacific Ocean, the small coastal berries lend the wine a deceiving power and an exceptionally concentrated fruit profile without sacrificing its medium-bodied frame. Supported by soft, silky tannins and a vibrant line of natural acidity, this matured California vintage delivers a smooth, savoury, and effortlessly lingering finish Part of the "Curated Fine Wine Collection :: Taste of Summer" sale on Grays.
