ROLEX DAYTONA AUTOMATIC 40MM 18K WHITE GOLD 116509 SILVER BXO COA Brand: Rolex Model: Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona Reference: 116509 Condition: Pre-owned, Excellent Case: 40mm, 18k white gold Oyster case Bezel: 18k white gold, engraved tachymeter scale Dial: Silver with black chronograph subdials, applied luminescent index markers Crystal: Scratch-resistant sapphire Movement: Rolex Calibre 4130, automatic, in-house chronograph Power Reserve: Approx. 72 hours Functions: Hours, minutes, small seconds, chronograph (30-minute and 12-hour counters), tachymeter Water Resistance: 100m Crown: Triplock screw-down, with screw-down pushers Bracelet: 18k white gold Oyster, Oysterlock folding clasp Inclusions: Rolex box only (no papers) COA: Dealer-issued certificate of authenticity Provenance & collectibility: The 116509 is the all-white-gold execution of the first in-house Daytona generation, produced until 2023 when Rolex replaced it with the 126509. Solid precious-metal Daytonas sit well above the steel references in the collector hierarchy, and the discontinued status supports demand for clean examples. Design & dial: The silver dial with contrasting black subdials gives a panda-style read in a precious-metal case, which makes this the most sought-after configuration of the white gold reference. The white gold looks like steel at a glance but carries noticeably more weight on the wrist. Movement: Powered by the Calibre 4130, Rolex`s in-house column-wheel chronograph with vertical clutch. It is COSC-certified, has a Parachrom hairspring, and offers roughly 72 hours of reserve. It uses fewer components than the earlier Zenith-based calibre, which helps long-term serviceability. Condition: Graded Excellent. The case, bezel and bracelet show only minimal signs of wear consistent with careful ownership, and the dial and hands are clean. Inclusions positioning: Supplied with the original Rolex box and a dealer-issued certificate of authenticity. Factory papers are not included, so pricing should reflect a box-only set relative to full-set comparables. (SN:116509) Part of the "Luxury Watches and Cases" sale on Grays.
