The absolute pinnacle of this pioneering Margaret River estate.Harvested from the historic, original 1967 vines planted by Dr Tom Cullity, this ultra-premium, wild-fermented blend (82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Malbec, and 1% Petit Verdot) beautifully translates a cooler, slower-ripening vintage into a masterpiece of structural precision, aerial lightness, and immense cellaring pedigree. Colour: Light maroon with a bright, youthful purple-crimson tinge. Aroma: A highly complex and pristine nose brimming with redcurrant, cranberry jam, and dark cassis fruit, seamlessly layered with notes of violet floral perfume, native peppermint tree, earthy gravel, and savoury cedar wood. Palate: Supple, vibrant, and exceptionally balanced. A precise core of cherry pip and cranberry fruit dances across the palate, tightly woven with savoury undercurrents of star anise and nori, showcasing the profound concentration of the ancient heritage vines. Finish: Remarkably long and fine-boned, defined by a mouth-watering line of natural acidity and beautifully polished, fine-grained tannins that linger dry and clean. Part of the "Curated Fine Wine Collection :: Icons" sale on Grays.
