2002 Pierce Tilt Cab FIRE TRUCK, 8.3L L6 DIESEL. 2002 Pierce Contender fire engine starts, runs, and drives. It was still being used as a Reserve Engine when taken out of service in January 2026. It has an 8.3L Cummins inline 6 diesel engine. The unit is a 6-person cab with 4 current seating positions, grey interior, a 750-gallon water tank w/ 30 gallon foam cell, and a pre-piped foam system dedicated to crosslay #1. The pump is a 1500 gpm Waterous single-stage pump with the last pump test completed in April 2024, passing the test by a third-party vendor. The odometer indicates approximately 62,400 miles and was replaced by our Fleet services in possibly 2018 when it stopped working. We do not have definitive records of the previous mileage, but we estimate the truck is close to 200k miles. The unit was serviced by City Fleet Management on a 6-month interval. All emergency lights work; the light bar was upgraded to LED, as well as the telescopic pole lights. Primary identifying vehicle decals have been removed with impressions showing. Exterior scratches and dings are present as well as a dent in the rear tailboard. There is wear to the seats, flooring and dashboard.
