Maryland MVA Form VR-112 (Auctioneer’s Sales Receipt) authorizes the transfer of ownership for an abandoned vehicle sold at auction. VR-112 summary: Purpose: Serves as an official bill of sale and proof of ownership for vehicles sold at auction. Notarization: Must be notarized to be valid. Use: Used by the buyer to apply for a new title and registration. <B>The bidder should research the use of the VR-112 form PRIOR to submitting a bid to familiarize themselves with the procedures.
