This advertisement includes the sale of: • Tour Walkway, Platform and Baler Bridge • Container Sort Room, Tour Room, and Pre-Sort Room • Stairs/Platforms/Equipment Support Systems • Storage Bunkers • Recycling Conveyors (Conveyors C-1, C-2, C-16, C-19, & C-21) Reason for being Auctioned As of March 2, 2024, the Regional Municipality of Waterloo (Region) transferred the management of the residential blue box program to Circular Materials. This was done as part of the provincial framework where producers are fully responsible for the end-of-life of blue box materials. The Material Recycling Centre (MRC) located at the Waterloo Landfill Site (925 Erb Street West, Waterloo, ON N2J 3Z4) is no longer operational. As such, the Region is looking to complete the sale of the recycling processing equipment as it is no longer required for operation. In addition, the Region is looking to repurpose the facility in the future. This virtual tour was developed when the facility was fully functional and operational prior to the March 2, 2024 date noted above. As identified within the supporting documentation the majority of recycling processing equipment has been sold and removed from the facility at this time.
