What ex-MoD and military surplus sells for
The middle half of 2,008 military surplus lots that sold at UK auction since June 2026 went for between £21 and £128, with a median of £51. These are the last bids we recorded before each lot closed, before buyer's premium and VAT.

How MoD surplus is sold
The Ministry of Defence does not sell surplus to the public itself. It uses appointed auctioneers. Witham Specialist Vehicles runs the MoD's online disposal sales at bid.mod-sales.com: Land Rovers, specialist vehicles, trailers, plant, generators, tools and equipment, in a new sale each month with lots added daily. Ramco holds separate military surplus sales of clothing, footwear, accessories and hardware.
Both sell in batches, so the number of live lots rises and falls. When one sale closes there can be a gap of days before the next one opens. The sale dates above show what is coming, and an alert will tell you when matching lots are listed.
Most lots are sold plus VAT at 20% and a buyer's premium, and most are collection only. Ex-military vehicles are often sold without a V5C, so check what paperwork a listing includes.
