Full Description

The ultra-premium, flagship cuvée from the Chapter 24 Vineyards project in Oregon's Willamette Valley.Named after the final chapter of Homer’s The Odyssey, this label represents a high-profile collaboration between founder Mark Tarlov and renowned Burgundian winemaker Louis-Michel Liger-Belair (of Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair).The wine is crafted using a specific infusion technique designed to maximise texture, silkiness, and aromatic expansion without over-extracting harsh, rustic tannins. Aroma: A dense, complex bouquet that opens with initial notes of dark spice, star anise, and clove. It unfurls to reveal dominant aromas of ripe black cherries, blackcurrant liqueur, and baked plum, grounded by savoury undertones of charcuterie and tilled black earth. Palate: Plump, expansive, and structurally powerful. The palate is flooded with concentrated blue and black fruits—notably boysenberry and rich blackberry—interwoven with mocha, incense, and a persistent seam of zesty, mouthwatering acidity. Finish: Remarkably long and penetrating, characterised by exceptionally fine, seamless, and velvety tannins that carry the savoury fruit flavours to a persistent, floral-accented finish. Part of the "Curated Fine Wine Collection :: Icons" sale on Grays.
