Schoenthal (Beautiful Valley) was a pioneering farming hamlet in the Adelaide Hills near the current day village of Lobethal. It was established in the early days of South Australia’s settlement by Silesian (German) migrants. Originally, the region focused on stone fruit orchards and potato farming. It was converted to vineyards in the late 1990’s and is now recognised for producing classic cool climate Chardonnay. Extended barrel maturation and over four years bottle time has given this Chardonnay creamy, mouth-filling flavours and nutty smoothness. The palate is rich and intense with ripe peachy fruit, smooth cashew nut complexity and lingering aftertaste of vanilla cream. This is an “old school” full bodied Chardonnay whilst retaining some youthful zest. Part of the "12Hr Wine Sale - 10am-10pm" sale on Grays.
