Full Description
We have been incredibly lucky with Rieslings vintages from Eden Valley over the last 4 years. The weather has been mildand the lack of heat stress events has helped with retention of acidity and given long, slow ripening for complexity. The fruit for this wine is sourced from the ‘Trial Hill’ vineyard near Pewsey Vale where owner Joel Mattschoss farms the land. The vines are North-East facing, sit at 450-470m altitude, are approximately 80 years old and are dry grown on a 1.8 hectare terraced & contoured site. The soils are greybrown skeletal soils from parent quartzites & mica schists. Part of the "Daily Wine Sale" sale on Grays.
