A remarkable, texturally rich, and deeply complex Californian white blend inspired by the refreshing styles of Friuli, Italy.Crafted by renowned viticulturist Steve Matthiasson, it subverts standard Napa Valley conventions by pairing a classic Bordeaux foundation with rare, site-specific Italian varieties. Appearance: Translucent light gold to pale lemon colour in the glass. Aroma: An expressive and satisfying bouquet dominated by white flowers, mandarin blossom, and lemon zest, leading into complex notes of fresh pear, honeyed pineapple, and a subtle flinty undertone. Palate: Medium-bodied with a generous, sapid, and beautifully rounded mouthfeel. Viscous and waxy stone fruit layers (guava, peach, and lemon preserve) are cut through by a cool, electric natural acidity and a distinct streak of salty minerality.
