Langton’s Classified: Excellent Top Vintage Bin 389 combines the elegance of Cabernet Sauvignon with the richness of Shiraz and demonstrates the traditional Penfolds' trademark - perfect balance between fruit and oak, to produce a wine with rich varietal characters and cellaring potential. The wine is considered a strong vintage of Bin 389 due to its powerful structure and complexity. The vintage conditions included a cool and dry spring and summer followed by a long mild autumn that allowed full ripeness in most areas. Matured for 16 months in new, one- and two-year-old American oak barrels to enhance its character and longevity. Vineyard Region: Barossa Valley, Coonawarra, McLaren Vale.
