No awards or medals documented for this vintage. The 2010 vintage is considered one of the greatest Bin 389s, with monumental structure, depth, and a long cellaring future. Above-average winter rainfall led to strong canopies and soil reserves, with a growing season of cool nights and warm days, dry until Easter, ideal for sustained ripening and flavour development. Matured for 14 months in new (40%), 1-year-old (20%), and 2-year-old (20%) American oak hogsheads (some previously used for Penfolds Grange). Vineyard Region: Barossa Valley, Coonawarra, Wrattonbully, Robe, McLaren Vale, Padthaway, Adelaide Hills. Grape Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon (51%), Shiraz (49%). Part of the "Curated Fine Wine Collection :: Taste of Summer" sale on Grays.
