Full Description
The 2015 vintage is a blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon and 47% Shiraz from Wrattonbully, McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley, Coonawarra, Robe, and Padthaway. Matured for 12 months in American oak hogsheads (32% new, 37% 1-year-old, 31% 2-year-old), some previously used for Penfolds Grange. Above-average autumn and winter rainfall, followed by a dry, cool spring and warm, dry flowering and fruit-set. Some heat spikes in February and warm, dry ripening in Wrattonbully contributed to strong varietal flavour development. Part of the "Curated Fine Wine Collection :: Feat. Pinot Noir" sale on Grays.
