Full Description
The 2016 vintage is a blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon and 49% Shiraz from Barossa Valley, Coonawarra, McLaren Vale, Padthaway, and Wrattonbully. Matured for 12 months in American oak hogsheads (37% new), some previously used for Penfolds Grange. Dry, cool autumn and winter with record low rainfall until March. Warm early summer, late rain in January/February, and a cool finish allowed for even ripening and flavour development. Part of the "Curated Fine Wine Collection :: Feat. Pinot Noir" sale on Grays.
