Full Description

An opulent Northern Rhône-inspired blend of roughly 92% Shiraz and 8% Viognier. Sourced from a single vineyard planted with cuttings from old RunRig vines, the grapes are co-fermented and matured in second-use French oak barrels. Colour: Completely opaque, deep black-purple with a vibrant magenta rim. Aroma: A powerful yet perfumed bouquet of warm blackberry preserves, dark plums, and chocolate bullets, lifted by fragrant floral layers of lavender and violets, along with a subtle hint of dried apricot and exotic spice. Palate: Full-bodied, richly textured, and highly concentrated. The mouthfeel is plush and velvety, delivering intense flavours of mulberry, dark chocolate, liquorice, and savoury tar. Finish: Exceptionally long and persistent, leaving a lingering trail of spicy dark plum, balanced extraction, and polished, well-integrated tannins. Part of the "5 Star Provenance Sale - Avid Wine Collector." sale on Grays.
