A classic Barossa Valley GMS (Grenache, Mataro, Shiraz) blend that showcases the warmth and richness of the vintage while maintaining excellent balance. It typically comprises roughly 60% Grenache, 20% Mataro, and 20% Shiraz sourced from very old, dry-grown vines. Colour: Deep crimson red with vibrant purple hues at the rim. Nose: Intense and complex aromas of ripe dark cherries, plums, and spice, interwoven with undertones of earth, star anise, liquorice, and a subtle hint of savoury game. Palate: Rich, fleshy, and medium-to-full-bodied. It bursts with succulent flavours of dark forest berries, plum pudding, and warm baking spices. The texture is supple, with the Grenache providing plush fruit weight while the Mataro and Shiraz add structural depth. Finish: Long, warming, and savoury, framed by fine, grainy tannins and well-integrated oak. Part of the "5 Star Provenance Sale - Avid Wine Collector." sale on Grays.
