Full Description

- Approx dimensions 34 x 33 cm and 5 H cm - This tray is a fine example of a Turkoman nomadic hand crafted tray; it is heavily covered in hundreds of tiny planishing hammer facets from its manual shaping over an anvil; the copper has been coated with hand-applied molten tin, used historically to protect food from reacting with raw copper - Provenance - this work was originally purchased at auction and is now part of a private collection downsizing of Bill Wood AM, former Queensland and ACT Member of Parliament and Minister for the Arts, and his wife Beverly - Considering antique age; this wonderful tray is in very good overall condition
