We feel it cleans up to 4" but an internet search indicates: The Roto-Jet RTJ3 is a vintage, heavy-duty fire hose washer manufactured by Circul-Air Corp. Introduced originally around the 1970s, it serves as a foundation for the automated hose washing technology used by fire departments today. The unit mechanizes the tedious task of manually scrubbing carcinogens, mud, and debris from woven jacket fire hoses. Hose Capacity: Cleans fire hoses up to and including 3 inches in diameter. Scrubbing Mechanism: Equipped with 4 internal motorized brushes that rotate against the hose. Power Requirements: Operates on a standard 115V / 60Hz electrical configuration. Water Supply: Features a standard garden hose inlet connection for station water lines.
