GovAuctions lists 2,393 live lots from 6 Canadian auction sites in one free search. Canadian surplus is split between the federal GCSurplus service, provincial outlets, municipal sellers and police property sites. We read the ones below, put their lots in one feed, and link each lot to the site that runs the sale, where you register and bid.

The Canadian sites we read

  • GCSurplus (gcsurplus.ca): the federal surplus service run by Public Services and Procurement Canada, selling from sale centres across the country.
  • GovDeals Canada (govdeals.com): surplus from Canadian cities, municipalities and provincial agencies.
  • Police Auctions Canada (policeauctionscanada.com): seized, found and unclaimed property from Canadian police agencies.
  • BC Auction (bcauction.ca): the Government of British Columbia's Asset Investment Recovery site, selling for the province, Crown corporations, municipalities, school districts and health authorities.
  • Alberta Surplus Sales (surplus.gov.ab.ca): the Government of Alberta's own outlet for provincial vehicles, equipment and office assets.
  • CAG Quebec (cag.encanatlasauction.com): Government of Quebec surplus in timed sales held a few times a year; between sales it has no lots here.

The largest Canadian categories at the last refresh: vehicles (578), electronics (304), furniture (219), tools (212), equipment (119).

How often it updates

Every source is re-read twice a day. New lots appear after the next refresh and lots that have ended drop off. The current bid on this site can lag the auctioneer's: always check the lot on the auctioneer's own page before you bid. The figures on this page are from the refresh on October 21, 2026.

What we do not cover

  • Any provincial, municipal or police sale run through an auctioneer that is not listed above. If a province sells through its own channel and it is not on this list, it is not in our feed.
  • Land and buildings. We do not list Canadian government property sales.

What Canadian buyers should know

  • GCSurplus charges no buyer's premium, but GST/HST is added at the rate of the province where you collect, from 5% to 15%. Other sites may add a premium; it is stated on each lot.
  • Most lots are collect-only from a sale centre or the seller's yard, so budget for transport before you bid.
  • Prices are in Canadian dollars as the seller lists them. We never sell or hold a lot ourselves.

GovAuctions is a U.S. company founded by Ben Wallace, published by GovernmentAuctions LLC, and used by more than 1 million people a year. We are not affiliated with GCSurplus, Public Services and Procurement Canada, any province or police service, or any of the sites above.

Browsing is free with no account. The site is paid for by advertising, an optional Pro subscription, our Data API and bulk data licensing; we take no commission from any auctioneer and have no say in who wins a lot.
