Santa Barbara County will provide a current SMOG certificate for California buyers. Vehicles are not SMOG CHECKED until receipt of payment. If the listed buyer chooses to send someone else to pick up their purchase, the purchaser must send an Email or call in authorization stating who may pick it up. (this includes tow companies.) Buyers; you can pick up your vehicle as soon as we see your payment has posted AND VEHICLE HAS BEEN SMOG CHECKED; WE HAVE UP TO FIVE DAYS AFTER PAYMENT RECEIPT TO OBTAIN THE SMOG INSPECTION CERTIFICATE.
