74-FOOT WORK BOAT, HULL REGISTRY NUMBER 74CM8411 Make: MARINE POWER Model: Workboat DESCRIPTION: BUILDER: MARINE POWER & EQUIP CO.INC YEAR: 1984 HULL MATERIAL: STEEL *****ALL WEIGHTS AND MEASUREMENTS PROVIDED ARE APPROXIMATE AND MAY VARY***** Overall length (approx.): 74' Max beam (approx.): 21' Propulsion: twin Detroit diesel 12v71 engines with twin propellers and rudders. Features: steel hulled work boat with pilothouse; large well deck; forward drop-down bow ramp; cargo carrying capacity of 160,000 lbs. Discrepancies (include but may not be limited to): corrosion throughout the boat, typical of a steel hulled boat of this age. Removal: this boat must be removed by land/over the road. This will require removal of some of the topside structure, including the pilot house, due to a bridge with a height of 16'4" on the road leaving the base. Hot work/cutting is permitted on base to accomplish this. Please plan accordingly. *****Inspection is strongly suggested. Repairs may be required to make it operational. Any law enforcement/military equipment that appears in a photo will be removed by the government prior to the sale. These items include gun mounts, blue lights, sirens and specialized radios and their mounts. ****Note that a Quasi-title will be required from the original purchaser in the event the boat is resold. *****Trailers or cradles, if provided, may not be road worthy. Please plan removal accordingly. It is the responsibility of the successful bidder to ensure that any trailer or cradle purchased with a boat is road worthy prior to using it to transport the boat. Successful bidder hauling vessel over land may be required to obtain permits. Please check with any state you may be traveling through to obtain appropriate permits. Standard form 97s are provided by GSA for any trailers which may be included in the sale. ****Lifting slings, rigging gear and shackles, if provided, may not be certified or serviceable. It is the responsibility of the successful bidder to ensure that any hoisting and rigging gear purchased with a boat is certified and serviceable prior to using it to hoist the boat. Please plan removal accordingly. *****The successful bidder is responsible for the proper disposal of oily water that may have accumulated in the boat. No work other than the disposal of oily water may be accomplished prior to removal without the express written consent of the contracting officer of record. *****Successful bidders are cautioned that they will be solely responsible for loading and removal of any and all property awarded to them from the exact place where the property is located. Exceptions: if the property weighs less than 22,000 lbs. And is not of an unusual size or shape the custodian may load it for the purchaser if the custodian believes it can be loaded safely and the purchaser signs the auction load release document. This document can be found in the GSA attachments for this sale. The custodian will make the final determination if the property can be loaded safely using their equipment, and assistance with loading and removal of property can be denied at any time and for any reason. If anyone other than the purchaser is removing the property, the purchaser must fill out and sign the applicable section of the auction load release document. *****The use, disposition, export and re-export of any property is subject to all applicable U.S. laws and regulations, including the atomic energy act of 1954, as amended; the arms export control act (22 USC 2752 et seq.); the export administration act of 1979 (50 U.S.C. 2401); doe regulations (10 C.F.R. part 110; international traffic in arms regulations (22 CFR 120 et seq.); export administration regulations (15 C.F.R. 701 et seq.); foreign assets control regulations (31 CFR 500 et seq.); and the espionage act (37 USC 791 et seq.)
