The bioMerieux BacT/ALERT 3D Incubation Module is a modular component of an automated microbial detection system designed to incubate, agitate, and continuously monitor blood cultures and sterile body fluids.  System Specifications Capacity: Standard incubation modules hold 240 culture bottles distributed across 4 front-loading drawers (60 cells per drawer). Scalability: A single control module can manage up to 6 incubation modules simultaneously, allowing laboratories to expand capacity up to 1,440 cells. Configurations: Available in Left and Right hardware configurations to optimize laboratory bench space and physical workflows.  Core Technology & Features Colorimetric Detection: Built on bioMerieux's patented colorimetric technology. CO2 generated by microbial metabolism changes the pH-sensitive sensor at the bottom of the bottle. The module continuously scans this sensor to flag positive growth.  Dual Temperature Capabilities: Specialized versions like the BacT/ALERT 3D DUAL-T support incubation at two different temperatures to optimize the recovery of specific bacteria, yeasts, and molds.  Polyvalent Drawer Settings: Drawers can be uniquely configured. For instance, mycobacteria testing drawers can be set to a non-agitation mode, while standard blood culture drawers stay in agitation mode.  Smart Loading: Features internal cell flags that instantly register bottle movements, enabling laboratory technicians to load a bottle into any available cell without manual data logging. The bioMerieux Incubation Module has been powered on. The bioMerieux Incubation Module has not been tested further. The bioMerieux Incubation Module comes with everything that is documented within the included photos and nothing more.
