2005 Ford Crown Victoria SEDAN 4-DR, 4.6L V8 SOHC 16V. APD is auctioning off the attached 2005 Crown Victoria. The vehicle was used initially for Investigations/as an Admin vehicle for most of its service before it was converted for use as a PIT training car. As seen in the photos, the front and rear bumpers were removed and APD had steel bumpers welded on for the PIT training, which have now been removed and placed on the replacement PIT training vehicle. The check engine light is on, the tires are bald, it does not appear the gas tank gauge is accurate as fuel was added and the low fuel level light is still on. There appears to be a leak of some sort in the driver's compartment leading to water getting onto the driver's side floorboard in the last rain event. The vehicle has been sitting for an unknown amount of time stored inside until it was moved last month to take the bumpers off for transfer to the replacement training car. The airbags have been removed from the vehicle to accommodate the PIT training. The vehicle runs, it might need to be jumpstarted to operate, and the vehicle needs a new transmission. When it was driven to its current location in the last few weeks, the transmission was slipping and the vehicle had to be placed into second gear to finish the drive. Thank you.
