Overview (1) 1990 34 Foot Hydrographic Survey Vessel. The vessel is classified in repairable condition. The vessel features fiberglass hull construction and is equipped with a diesel inboard engine that is reported as inoperative. The vessel requires mechanical and electrical system testing and repairs prior to operation. Fiberglass hull material construction. Navy hull registry vessel designed for hydrographic survey operations. Condition & Markings This lot is in repairable condition. Parts may be missing, and repairs may be required. The Caterpillar 3208T diesel inboard engine is reported as inoperative. Hull, mechanical, and electrical systems require testing and repairs prior to vessel operation. Electrical systems were not energized and mechanical systems were not rotated during inspection. Any law enforcement or military equipment visible will be removed by the government prior to sale. Lifting slings, rigging gear, and shackles, if provided, may not be certified or serviceable. Oily water may have accumulated in the vessel and requires proper disposal by the successful bidder. Inspection and Removal Inspection and Removal: Available Monday through Friday, by confirmed appointment only. The site is closed on federal holidays. Contact the property custodian (listed below) to schedule an appointment. Property Inspection: Bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect the property prior to placing a bid to evaluate its condition and suitability. By bidding without an inspection, bidders assume the risk of potential omissions in the description. Removal Responsibilities: The successful bidder is solely responsible for all aspects of removal, including packing, crating, banding, loading, and shipping. The agency will not provide assistance. Authorized Third-Party Removal: The authorized third-party agent must present a Letter of Authorization from the high bidder (see terms and conditions for details), a copy of the purchaser's receipt, and a valid photo ID at the time of removal. A trailer or cradle is not included in the sale. Purchaser must arrange crane services and ground transportation to remove the vessel. Inspection time is Tuesday through Thursday 0900-1300.
