North American Bidders Only. For Auction is a Vintage Pioneer SX-650 Stereo Receiver. The Pioneer SX-650 Stereo Receiver is a highly regarded vintage AM/FM stereo receiver manufactured in Japan between 1976 and 1978 during the golden era of hi-fi audio. It is known for its classic silver-face aesthetic, warm dial illumination, robust build quality, and excellent performance as a mid-range vintage unit. Specifications & Features Power Output: 35 watts per channel (RMS) into 8Ω. It is widely noted by users to punch well above its rated power, often testing closer to 45–50W in real-world scenarios. Total Harmonic Distortion (THD): Exceptionally low at less than 0.3% across the human hearing range. Frequency Response: Broad range covering 10Hz to 50kHz. Inputs & Connectivity: Equipped with a dedicated high-quality phono equalizer stage for turntables, an auxiliary (Aux) input, and dual tape monitor loops. It is fully compatible with modern streaming setups using a simple 3.5mm-to-RCA or Bluetooth adapter plugged into the Aux port. Speaker Outputs: Supports two separate pairs of speakers (A, B, or A+B configurations) The Pioneer SX-650 Stereo Receiver has been powered on. The Receiver was connected to a set of speakers and delivers sound properly. The Receiver has not been tested further. The Receiver may show signs of cosmetic wear such as scuffs and peeling.
