Services are not available for any circumstance that arises from non-compliance of safety procedures. Call 360-407-2271 or SurplusCashier@des.wa.gov to Schedule for Preview or Pick Up Scheduled appointments are for 30 minute blocks running from: 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM PST - Monday through Friday. Same day appointments accommodated only upon availability. Hours of operation, Location & Directions CONDITION : New/Unused. As is. DETAILS : Up for auction is a large bag of activated carbon (bio-char) derived of coconut husk. Activated carbon can be used for soil amendment to increase Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) which increases crop nutrient uptake. There are 9 pallets of this activated carbon in our warehouse, each pallet being sold individually as a separate listing. Each bag weighs approximately 1,100 pounds but may weigh up to slightly above 1,200 pounds. ***These listings have been created using the same pictures for each listing; the pictures exemplify one pallet for aesthetic reference, each listing is an individual sale of 1 pallet only.*** All pallets are aesthetically similar, dimensionally similar, similar in weight and the bio-char is contained in industrial bags with bag handles designed for forking/rigging that appear to be in tact. Smaller, 15 pound bags of this material appear to retail for $60+ online, suggesting a valuation of at least $4,000 per pallet, MSRP. The activated carbon has not been used, these are new and unused lots. Owning agency states : New and unused activated carbon derived from coconut husk. The manufacturer of this activated carbon is a company called Karbonous Inc (formerly Prominent Systems Inc). Further information about the material can be found at www.karbonous.com. Please be aware that per Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 200-360-040 : "No sale shall be invalid due to defects discovered after sale which may have been discovered by a reasonable inspection of the property before sale." Asset is sold as is, where is and without warranty. Once the asset is removed from the seller's premises there is no refund of monies previously paid. Weight : Approximately 1,100 pounds per pallet.
