This listing is for one (1) roll of fifty (50) 1945-D Lincoln Wheat Pennies struck at the Denver Mint, purchased as part of a large estate auction. Hand assembled by the previous collector and stored undisturbed since at least 2008 — a genuinely unsearched roll sitting untouched for nearly two decades. Being sold exactly as acquired. What you are bidding on: One (1) roll of 50 Lincoln Wheat Pennies — 1945-D, Denver Mint Hand assembled by previous estate collector — unsearched since at least 2008 Roll has NOT been opened, searched, or altered by the seller Coins have NOT been independently examined, graded, or verified by the seller These coins are 81 years old — genuine WWII-era issue About These Coins: The 1945-D Lincoln Wheat Penny was struck at the Denver Mint in the final year of World War II, with a mintage of 266,268,000. From 1944 to 1946 the Mint made cents from recycled shell casings rather than fresh copper, which gives these wartime-era coins a slightly different composition and look from earlier and later years. Most surviving examples are circulated, and well-preserved coins that keep their original red color are scarce after eight decades of handling and oxidation. Various die varieties and mint errors have been documented for the 1945 cent, which makes any unsearched roll an interesting prospect for variety hunters. No specific varieties or conditions are guaranteed.
