1974 Viking 40' Sportfish Yacht "Inspiration" – Statutory Lien Sale HIN: VYK404570874 | USCG Official #: 621492 This is a statutory lien foreclosure sale conducted under RCW 88.26.020. The vessel was secured due to unpaid moorage, storage, electricity, late fees, and related charges. All required notices have been properly delivered or attempted to the owner of record as shown on the USCG Abstract of Title. No title is available: Upon full payment and removal, BananaBelt Boats LLC will provide the successful buyer with: A notarized USCG CG-1340 Bill of Sale Related documents (notices, mailing proofs, auction records) proving compliance with Washington lien sale statutes. The buyer is responsible for submitting these documents to the U.S. Coast Guard National Vessel Documentation Center (NVDC) to obtain a new Certificate of Documentation and for any state registration (WA or other jurisdiction) as required by law. Application of Proceeds: Proceeds will first be applied to satisfy BananaBelt Boats’ valid charges (approximately $19,000 as of late May 2026, plus additional accruals). Any surplus remaining after all charges and superior liens are satisfied will be paid to the prior owner of record. If the owner cannot be located after due diligence within one year of the sale, the excess will revert to the Washington State Department of Revenue. Condition Report: Vessel condition is largely unknown to the seller. This vessel was previously listed for sale with BananaBelt Boats & Yachts brokerage in July 2024. Due to non-payment of charges, it is now an abandoned vessel and should be considered a project vessel. It has been stored on land, out of the water since August 2024. The vessel arrived under its own power. None of its engines or systems have been operated by BananaBelt Boats since that time. The most recent owner of record had owned it for approximately 24 years and reported (to the best of their knowledge) that the boat had never run aground, never had a fire, never been sunk or submerged, and never been in a charter program. Fuel was last added in Friday Harbor, WA in fall 2023. A potential buyer in January 2025 declined to proceed after a marine survey reportedly found wet/rotten stringers. No surveyor’s report is available. Mechanical, structural, and seaworthiness condition are unknown to the seller. Engines & Mechanical (Reported by Previous Owner): Appears to be Twin Caterpillar Diesel Engines (possibly model 3208) with unknown hours. Previous owner did not provide specific hour readings.
