The Township of Ocean Sewerage Authority is offering for sale a 1980 J.I. Case 580C Construction King loader backhoe. The machine was previously used by the Authority for general facility, excavation, and maintenance work and is being removed from service because it is no longer utilized in Authority operations. The machine is equipped with a front loader bucket, rear backhoe attachment, enclosed operator cab, and stabilizer outriggers. It is powered by a four-cylinder Case diesel engine. As shown in the photographs, the machine is in used condition consistent with its age and municipal/utility service. Visible wear includes surface rust, faded and worn paint, corrosion, and general cosmetic deterioration. Known Condition The machine runs and functions. However, the battery does not hold a charge and the machine currently requires a jump-start to operate. Prospective bidders should anticipate that the battery will require replacement. The machine is being sold in AS-IS, WHERE-IS condition with no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied. Due to the age of the equipment, the Authority makes no representations regarding the continued operation or condition of individual mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic components beyond the conditions specifically stated in this listing.
