A 1983 Ford Mustang convertible with documented history as a Q102 Cincinnati radio contest grand prize, one of only two winner vehicles from the 1983 Jello Jump promotion. Classic-car dealers and private collectors buy contest cars and unique promotional vehicles for their documented provenance and collector demand. Verify the contest documentation and have a pre-purchase inspection confirm the frame and drivetrain, since a 40-year-old convertible body can hide rust.
Estimated flip margin and comp range available with Pro. Summary may occasionally contain inaccuracies; check the full description before bidding.

This Mustang was originally awarded during Cincinnati radio station Q102's famous 1983 "Jello Jump" promotion. Contestants searched through a dumpster filled with Jell-O looking for one of 25 keys. Only two keys actually started a Mustang, making this one of only two grand prize vehicles won during the event. The original contest winner cherished and owned this Mustang until her passing in 2007. Following her passing, her husband retained ownership and cared for the vehicle for many years. As he became elderly and could no longer maintain the car, he made the decision to pass it on so someone else could preserve and enjoy this unique piece of Cincinnati history. Since acquiring the Mustang, I have spent considerable time bringing it back to a clean, presentable condition. The vehicle has been thoroughly detailed inside and out, with the goal of preserving its originality while making it ready for its next owner. Included with the sale is the original historical certificate of title from when ownership was transferred into the husband's name. The document still lists the original contest winner as the previous owner, with both names appearing on the title. While this title is not valid for registration, it is being included strictly as a historical document that helps tell the story of this remarkable car. Whether you're a Mustang collector, a Fox Body enthusiast, or someone who appreciates unusual automotive history, opportunities to own a documented promotional vehicle like this rarely come along.
