20-inch TJ Ductile Iron Pipe, Class 52, (New/Unused) (Lot 1, Qty. 8) The 20-inch TJ ductile iron pipe, Class 52, is designed for high-pressure water mains and meets ANSI/AWWA C150/A21.50 and C151/A21.51 standards, with a minimum wall thickness of 0.36 inches. Item/Specification: Nominal Size: 20 in Outside Diameter (OD): 21.60 in Minimum Wall Thickness (Class 52): 0.36 in End Style: Threaded Joint (TJ) Class Rating: 52 (special pressure class, typically for high-pressure water mains) Length: 20 ft Material: Ductile iron (ASTM A536 or equivalent) Coating: Zinc-coated (McWane TR Flex) Standards & Compliance: • Design: ANSI/AWWA C150/A21.50 • Water Pipe: ANSI/AWWA C151/A21.51 • Fittings: ANSI/AWWA C153/A21.53 (ductile iron) • Gasket Joints: ANSI/AWWA C111/A21.11 • Flanged Pipe: ANSI/AWWA C115/A21.15 • Installation: ANSI/AWWA C600 Pressure & Thickness Notes: • Class 52 is a special pressure class for high-pressure water mains, exceeding standard Class 40 thicknesses. • The 0.36 in wall thickness is sufficient to withstand the rated working pressure plus a 100 psi surge allowance. • Available for working pressures higher than 350 psi.
