2003 GMC Savana SPORTS VAN, 6.0L V8 OHV 16V. Department states they think the van has a bad alternator but haven't had it diagnosed by a mechanic. They put a new battery in it, started it up and let it run a while. Drove it just a little and it died. They jumped it off; it ran a short time and died again. They then decided to send it to surplus to be sold. Refer all questions to Abbi Messer (willa724@vt.edu) or Terry Abston (tabston@vt.edu) or call 434-645-9315. Sold AS IS-WHERE IS. Buyer will must give a 24-hour notice to pick up. No working on van on-site. Title will be mailed to buyer from Blacksburg VA when notified the van has been removed. Per DMV rule, the title will be made out to match the bill of sale. No exceptions. If using a 3rd-Party agent; buyer must notify seller prior to item removal. Buyer must notify Ron Barrett (ronald@vt.edu) by email with name of person picking up item(s). The buyer must provide agent with a faxed copy of buyer's certificate, including their signed authorization to release their items. Person picking up will be required to sign the Bill of Sale. CONDITIONS OF REMOVAL: Removal is by Appointment with 24-hour notice. If additional time is needed for pickup, it must be approved by Ron Barrett, ronald@vt.edu by email BEFORE the item is purchased.
