Smog Certification Required: Certificates of compliance are required to be obtained by the Successful Bidder, certifying that the Vehicle complies with Part 5 (commencing with Section 43000) of Division 26 of the Health and Safety Code and Article 6.5 (commencing with Section 9888.5) of Chapter 20.3 of Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code, before the Vehicle may be registered in this state. The County is NOT responsible for providing a smog certificate or certificate of compliance. B. The Successful Bidder accepts full and sole responsibility for any and all costs, repairs, testing, and modifications necessary to obtain a valid certificate of compliance and to lawfully register the Vehicle.
