The 2012 Lodal EVO is a heavy-duty, highly specialized automated side-loader garbage truck manufactured by LoDaL in Kingsford, Michigan. Known for its unique, low-profile design, it was designed specifically for residential waste and recycling collection. Cab Design: Features a low step-in, dual stand-up drive cab. This allows the driver to easily enter/exit or stand on either the left or right side of the truck. Visibility: The custom-integrated cab offers a very large windshield, giving the operator an excellent view of the street, curbs, and automated loading arms. The Lodal EVO is built as a single, cohesive unit rather than just putting a trash body on a standard commercial truck frame. This custom build gives it a low center of gravity and a tight turning radius, which is perfect for navigating narrow residential neighborhoods. Engine: Typically powered by a diesel engine, the Cummins 8.3L. Transmission: Features an Allison automatic transmission, 2 Wheel Drive, making stop-and-go driving on a trash route much easier. Safety & Drivetrain: Equipped with antilock braking systems (ABS), S-CAM brakes with automatic slack adjusters, and a route service holding brake. Vehicle was maintained every 7,000 miles and was removed from service 7/7/2026. The exterior condition has minor dents, scratches and dings. Tire condition are fairly new. Windows have no cracked glass. Decals have been removed.
