If the Buyer, after making payment for an item, fails to remove the item within the specified time, the agency reserves the right (1) to retain all payments; and (2) to dispose of the item through another auction or otherwise. Successful bidders are responsible for packing, loading, removing and transporting all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located as indicated on the website and in the Notice of Award. The Buyer must make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Under no circumstances will El Paso County assume responsibility for packing, loading or transporting auction item(s). Buyer shall be liable to and reimburse El Paso County for any damage to El Paso County s property caused by Buyer s or Buyer Agent s removal of auction item(s) from the premises. No maintenance whatsoever will be allowed on County property other than installation of a new battery. 4. Must have proper vehicle equipment to remove as quickly as possible. If the equipment is insufficient, you will be turned away and rescheduled for another time. 5. We do not provide temporary tags, recommend applying for a Vehicle Transit Permit from the Texas DOT. 6. If the listed buyer chooses to send someone else to pick up their purchase, the purchaser must send a signed authorization to A.Dominguez@epcountytx.gov from the email on file with Public Surplus stating who may pick it up. A copy of the buyer's photo ID and the Public Surplus Paid Receipt, third party's name, and auction number. The person picking the item up will also be required to have this information with them at time of pick-up. We WILL NOT release anything until we receive this information. 7.
