Garrett County Government makes no representations regarding the condition, completeness, accuracy of description, operating condition, or fitness of the property or equipment. Any descriptions, photographs, quantities, dimensions, or other information provided are for informational purposes only and shall not constitute a warranty or representation. Prospective bidders are encouraged to inspect the property and equipment prior to submitting a bid. Failure to inspect shall not relieve the successful bidder of the obligation to complete the purchase. The successful bidder assumes all responsibility, risk, liability, and expense associated with the property and equipment upon transfer, including loading, removal, transportation, and any required permits or disposal costs. Garrett County Government will not be responsible for any repairs, deficiencies, defects, or conditions discovered before or after the sale. All purchased equipment must be removed from Garrett County Government property within ninety (90) calendar days of the date of award or other written notice provided by the County. Any equipment not removed within the required 90-day period shall be deemed abandoned and forfeited to Garrett County Government, without refund or compensation to the successful bidder. The County may retain, dispose of, resell, or otherwise manage the forfeited equipment at its sole discretion. By submitting a bid, the bidder acknowledges and accepts the property and equipment in its existing “AS IS, WHERE IS” condition and agrees that the sale is final, with no refunds, returns, exchanges, or adjustments.
