2015 Ford Explorer SPORT UTILITY 4-DR 3.5L V6 DOHC 24V Vehicle brought in for repair to Centrall Maint due to engine stopping while driving. Found the crankcase sprocket pin sheared off. Replaced the crankcase sprocket and pin. During testing after parts replacement, the engine sounded like it had a misfire. While investigating the misfire, visible internal damage was seen due to piston to valve contact in Cylinder #5. No further investigation was conducted, but it is suspected that there might be more internal damage. An engine rebuild or replacement will probably be required.This vehicle can be inspected at Maury County Central Maint 1214 Industrial Park Rd Columbia TN 38401(SAME PLACE AS PICKUP LOCATION). This vehicle is being SOLD AS IS WHERE IS. Maury County CANNOT help load this vehicle in any way. Maury County does not offer tow assistance. Maury County accepts Cash(EXACT AMOUNT ONLY), cashiers check or money order. Payment will need to be made at 10 Public Square Columbia TN 38401 M-F 8:30AM-3:30PM.
