This auction has a view only time frame from August 10, 2026, starting at 8:00 am, through August 17, 2026, at 11:59 pm. No bidding will occur during this time. Bid deposits will be accepted from August 10, 2026 through August 21, 2026. Bidding will be open from August 18, 2026, starting at 11:00 am through August 21, 2026, ending at 2:00 pm (please note: the auction ending time will extend beyond 2:00 pm, known as “auto-extension”, if a bid is placed within the final 3 minutes. The auto-extension will stop adding time when no bids are received for a 3-minute time frame). To be eligible for bidding, there are three requirements: (1)Become a registered bidder with GovDeals. If you are not a registered bidder, you will need to register at www.govdeals.com Click on “Register” in the top right-hand corner of the page. (2)Submit a bid deposit. You will find the bid deposit instruction form below under the 'Attachments' section of this auction. If you do not see the link, click on "show more items." Bid deposits are not instant and can take one full day or longer to transfer from bank to bank; therefore, we encourage you to plan accordingly. All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land, situate in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, and known, numbered, and designated as Lot 181 of the Douglas Park Subdivision as shown on the subdivision plat filed on April 25, 1956, and recorded in the Clerk’s Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, in Map Book 3, pages 2 and 3. It being the same property conveyed to Junious O. Fields and Hattie G. Fields, as tenants by the entirety, by deed dated June 15, 1956, from the United States of America and recorded in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book 297, page 294. Hattie G. Fields died on March 27, 1962, survived by her husband, Junious O. Fields, who became the sole owner by operation of law. Junious O. Fields, died testate on January 27, 1984. Pursuant the Will of Junious O. Fields, recorded in Will Book 38, page 368, the property was devised to J. B Reynolds, now known as Jaybe Fields, with a life estate reserved unto his wife, Alberta Fields.
