Bid Approval: Final high bid is subject to approval by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and/or the Governor’s Office - The seller reserves the right to reject any and all bids when deemed irregular or when not in the best interest of the Seller to accept. Title to be transferred by Quit Claim Deed upon full payment and approval from the Governor’s Office. Governor approval may require up to 4-8 weeks from submittal. Buyer must provide all required deed transfer information after final winning bid in written form to the Seller. Quit Claim Deed will be recorded at the Local County Register of Deeds Office upon seller final approval. Payment: Bidders must pay for the property in full to Wisconsin Surplus within 7 business days of seller approval notification. Full payment to Wisconsin Surplus does not transfer the ownership of the property to the buyer at that time. The Quit Claim Deed (QCD) and any final closing statement(s) will then be prepared by DOT. The closing (transfer of ownership via a QCD) will be scheduled to be within Sixty (60) days of the full payment being made to Wisconsin Surplus.
