The City of Independence is offering for sale a surplus K9 kennel previously utilized by our Police Department's K9 program. The structure is currently located at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. It is built on heavy-duty wooden skids to allow for transportation and relocation. Specifications and Features: Overall Dimensions: 12 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 6 feet 6 inches tall, plus the roof height. Enclosed Building: 6 feet by 8 feet space. The exterior features black painted wood siding with white trim. The interior features finished plywood walls, a wooden floor, and spray foam insulation applied to the ceiling and the interior side of the main entry door. Dog Run: 6 feet by 8 feet area. This section features chain-link fencing, a latching access gate, and a wooden floor. Roof: Corrugated metal roofing spans the entire structure, covering both the enclosed building and the dog run. Access: Includes a barn-style wooden entry door with "X" trim detailing and a secondary access door connecting the enclosed interior directly to the exterior dog run. Electrical and Lighting: Includes an interior overhead light fixture and an exterior electrical outlet. Ventilation: The enclosed area includes two sliding windows to allow for natural light and airflow. Pick-Up and Removal This item is sold "As Is, Where Is." The buyer is entirely responsible for securing the necessary equipment for loading, lifting, and safely transporting the structure from the City facility.
