This is a listing for a Beckman Coulter High Speed Refrigerated Centrifuge. The Beckman Coulter Avanti J-25 is a high-speed refrigerated floor centrifuge designed for high-productivity bioprocessing, capable of handling up to 24 liters per hour. It is engineered for routine laboratory processing, including rapid sedimentation of protein precipitates, large particles, and gradient isolation. Maximum Speed: 25,000 RPM. Maximum Force: 75,600 x g (with fixed-angle rotors). Temperature Range: Set from -20 C to +40 C in 1 C increments. Maximum Capacity: 4 liters per run. Dimensions: 28 x 34 x 45.5 inches (W x D x H). Weight: Approximately 583 lb (264.5 kg). Friction Reduction System (FRS): A dynamic rotor inertia check (DRIC) ensures proper rotor identification and prevents any rotor from exceeding its rated speed. Drive System: Utilizes a high-torque SR (Switched-Reluctance) drive for fast acceleration and deceleration rates (2/3 rates). Control Panel: Features traditional tactile knobs for manual or programmed operation, distinguishing it from the digital interface of the J-25I model. JA-25.50: A fixed-angle aluminum rotor with a capacity of 8 x 50 mL, reaching the full 25,000 RPM. JA-25.15: A fixed-angle rotor with a capacity of 24 x 15 mL tubes. JS-7.5: A swinging-bucket rotor often bundled for larger volume processing. AC Voltage Requirements: 200/208/240 VAC 50/60HZ Item is missing the following parts: Rotor Tests performed: Unit passed general inspection procedure: Unit has been inspected for wear and shows no signs of damage that would affect operation. The unit successfully powers on and initializes without errors. The display is clear and complete All buttons/knobs are functional and respond to user input. Unit was set to the max cooling temp of -20C and the unit cooled in less than 30 min and held for 30 min. Due to the missing rotor the unit would not spin up to max RPM. Unit did try to start spinning but the safety system stopped the unit due to missing rotor. Cosmetic Condition: Item is in good used condition. Item has the following cosmetic issues: Minor scuffs and blemishes consistent with prior usage.
