Picospritzer II is a widely used, pressure-driven microinjection and drug-delivery system primarily found in electrophysiology and cellular biology labs. It delivers highly precise, picoliter-to-nanoliter liquid or gas volumes through fine micropipettes via timed bursts of compressed gas. System Features Precision Timed Injections: Uses an internal solenoid valve to provide reproducible pressure pulses for injecting reagents (e.g., DNA, mRNA, dyes, drugs) into oocytes, neurons, and other cells. Gas Compatibility: Runs on compressed, clean, dry gas (air, nitrogen, argon, or carbon dioxide) at pressures up to 150 PSI. Setup: Typically involves a main control unit that connects to a separate, remotely operated valve box situated near the experimental setup to minimize tubing dead space. The Picospritzer has been powered on. The Picospritzer has not been tested further. The Picospritzer comes with everything that is documented within the included photos and nothing more.
